Bahamas wedding photographerAre you searching for a wedding photographer to meet you in the Bahamas?Glen Johnson is a professional wedding photographer with a unique blend of photojournalism and bold portrait styles. This style, called Portrait Journalism, has evolved into the most desired form of wedding photography because it creates a collection of images with a combination of dramatic creative portraits of the Bride and Groom, and a large selection of shots that are natural and spontaneous - capturing your family and friends in a way that minimizes the posed look and the awkward interruptions throughout the day. Glen's goal is to document the whole story of the day, and his greatest gift as a photographer is in his ability to see and capture the natural beauty in what most people see as mundane, everyday moments. No glance is insignificant, no smile too common. These moments are the ones that tell the real story of your wedding day. In the end, Brides are often deeply touched by the natural joy and the real moments Glen captures in his images. These skills are frequently recognized by couples with a budget which allows them to shop worldwide for the photographer of their choice. These clients and many others, keep Glen traveling around the globe during much of the year. Experience counts! Wedding photography is very different from other types of photography and even though you may have a relative that is an excellent photographer, an experienced wedding photographer will know exactly when to be in a certain spot to capture the important moments throughout the day. Over the past nine years, Glen has shot hundreds of weddings in the US and approximately 40 destination weddings outside the US. This experience is priceless when it comes to capturing the natural, un-posed story of a wedding as it unfolds. In 2006 the publisher John Wiley and Sons asked Glen to put this experience down in a book. You can find the finished product, titled: Digital Wedding Photography, on the shelves at any major bookstore in the US or on the Internet. Notes about Prices: My prices have gone up and down over the years. They went up a LOT near the end of the year that I shot 23 weddings outside the US. I really needed to slow things down a bit after that. Now that the economy is crashing around us, I’ve been going back down some. However, I have a delicate balancing act trying to juggle all the plusses and minuses of working overseas, such as the added expenses, and the fact that it takes me at LEAST 4 days to do a wedding that would only take one day here in Oregon. So, although I do enjoy traveling, I have to be realistic in that I have to pay the bills or it isn’t going to work over the long run. So what does all that boil down to? As you can see on the attached pricelist, I charge a base rate plus a certain amount for plane fare and hotel fees. That is pretty much the bare minimum that will make it worthwhile - and even at that, I end up making far less than I would if I stayed home and shot only Oregon weddings. But alas, I don't like to stay home much, so I try to make the travel weddings affordable. I know that for most people (including myself),
times are much tougher than they were in past years, so let me know
