| Glen
Johnson has focused exclusively on developing the art of wedding
photography since 1998.
His goal is to document the
whole story of the day with images that are candid, beautiful and
honest. He strives to capture the natural beauty in the most mundane,
everyday moments. No glance is insignificant, no smile too common.
These moments are the ones that tell the real story of your wedding
day.
His ability to capture intimate
moments in a beautiful and artistic way keeps him busy photographing
weddings across the US, Europe and Asia. |

Glen's
work exhibits a unique blend of photojournalistic and bold portrait
styles. This style (called Portrait Journalism) has evolved into
the most popular form of wedding photography because it creates
a collection of images with a combination of dramatic creative portraits
of the Bride and Groom, and a large selection of shots that are
natural, spontaneous and unposed - capturing your family and friends
in a way that minimizes the posed look and the awkward interruptions
throughout the day.
In the menu above, you'll find
links to several slideshows
with hundreds of pictures that should give you an
excellent view into the type of images Glen creates.
Some of the shows are on a theme,
while others contain images from a single wedding. |
| Experience
counts!
Wedding photography is very
different from other types of photography, and even though you may
have a friend or relative that is an excellent photographer, that
does NOT make them a good wedding photographer. An experienced wedding
photographer knows when to stay back in the shadows and when to
get right up to the front. He/she will know exactly when to be in
a certain spot to capture the important moments throughout the day
while still maintaining a respectful sense of sacredness for your
wedding, so that the important moments are captured without turning
the whole event into a photo shoot.
Glen has witnessed hundreds
of weddings in the US and over 40
destination weddings outside the US. This experience is priceless
when it comes to capturing the natural, un-posed story of a wedding
as it unfolds. And if you happen to be planning a destination wedding,
Glen's travel experience can easily make the difference between
a photographer that shows up, and one that doesn't make it at all.

In
2006 the publisher John Wiley and Sons asked Glen to put
this experience down in a book. After many months behind the keyboard,
Glen can now say that he "wrote the book" on
digital wedding photography.
You
can find the finished product, titled: "Digital
Wedding Photography: Capturing Beautiful Memories"
on the shelves at any major bookstore in the US, or on the Internet.
According
to Amazon.com, this book is THE most highly
rated book on the market in the category of wedding photography.
You
can read the reviews and order
an autographed copy here. |

Glen creates his unique wedding
images with Canon Professional Digital Cameras and lenses. He
currently shoots with Canon 5D and 30D camera bodies. Glen shoots
everything in RAW format for the high quality and extreme flexibility
of exposure these files allow.
For your disks Glen and his staff will convert the RAW files to
JPEG files unless you specifically request to receive the RAW
files instead. Read more about RAW files.

| A
Zen poet once said,
"A person who is a master
in the art of living makes little distinction between their work
and their play, their labor and their leisure, their mind and their
body, their education and their recreation, their love and their
religion. They hardly know which is which and simply pursue their
vision of excellence and grace, whatever they do, leaving others
to decide whether they are working or playing. To them, they are
always doing both." |
