Glen's favorite Wedding Locations
Jamaica
Round Hill
Resort and the Rock
house in Jamaica… Both are extremely nice
places. The Rock House is not good for groups with small
children because of the cliffs. Round Hill can accomodate
large groups if necessary.
Half Moon Bay
might give you trouble about bringing in your own photographer
but just tell them that you found them through me and
they should stop complaining. The place is very beautiful
and very large.

Mexico
The
Palmilla near San Jose del Cabo… extremely
nice!
El
Careyes beach resort near Manzanillo, Mexico. There
are also several very large and extremely nice villas
within a short drive/long walk of this resort. If you
have a party of 12, most of them could be at the villa.
Check out this slideshow
for a look at a wedding I shot in this area. If you’re
interested I can get more info about the villa and the
restaurant where they had the ceremony – which
I think was just around the corner on the beach from
El Careyes resort.

Dominican Republic
The Sivory
in Punta Cana, is waaay off the beaten path but
well worth the trip. We walked down the beach as far
as we could and never saw another person. This place
is literally... the end of the road.

Virgin Islands
This one is by Tortola in the British Virgin islands. Marina
Cay. It’s a small island with several small
houses/villas spread out in a circle around the top.
VERY nice place for a small wedding up to about 25-35
people.
St. John USVI: Caneel
Bay Resort with the ceremony in the old Sugar Mill.
WOW! This place is really nice and it makes for an incredible
wedding for groups up to about 25. I don't think more
than that would fit in the sugar mill but I'm sure they
could do larger groups elsewhere.

Malolo
Island Resort Liku
Liku Lagoon Resort, also on Malolo Island.
Watch a slideshow from a wedding I shot at this resort.

Exciting News!
I have been invited
to be a on the review board for the most exciting new photograpy
group to come along in a long time.
Best of Wedding Photography
will be the most selective group of wedding photographers
in the world. There are many great wedding photography sites
and associations. What sets Best of Wedding Photography
apart from the rest is our unique, peer-reviewed, invitation-only
membership system. Each quarter, our editorial staff submits
a list of outstanding photographers to a Review Board. This
panel includes some of the best and best-known photographers
in the world:
David
Beckstead. Glen Johnson. Anna Kuperberg. Crash Taylor. David
Ziser.
Every invitation we
issue represents a consensus that a given photographer ranks
among the absolute best wedding photographers in the world.
Being
invited in on the ground floor of this organization is an
incredible honor and I have thoroughly enjoyed having the
ability to add in my thoughts and ideas about how to make
this organization represent the cream of the crop in the
wedding photography world. So far, I have been one of three
people voting on each photographer to determine the original
list of photographers to invite.

A Bride's advice.....
Glen,
We received the wedding photos a couple days ago and are truly ecstatic
with them. From past brides, and looking over your website, we knew
that they would turn out good; however they have far surpassed our expectations.
There is something so special when you actually get to see your self
as the "bride & groom." The images that you captured have
are a priceless gift, one that we both will cherish for many years to
come.
While we panicked that we ran out of time to do all of the group photos,
your photo-journalistic style captured our wedding party and family
as they really are. Showing their many emotions from tears to laughter,
something that takes a special photographer to capture. Words can't
express how much we appreciate you being apart of our wedding, and giving
us the best wedding gift of all...your talent.
Our advice to future brides: Don't shy away because of the cost
of Glen's work. You won't remember what the cake tasted like, nor what
wine you served. Your photographs are what lasts a lifetime...and Glen's
work creates the memories that you will continue to cherish for many
years.
Thank you Glen for all of your hard work on our wedding day!
Sincerely,
Miklyn & Josh Perdue
