Big News!!!
At the recent Professional Photographers of
Oregon annual convention, my
album entry got the awards for..... BEST WEDDING,
and it got a KODAK GALLERY AWARD,
and last but not least.....
BEST OF
SHOW!
This is a truly MAJOR award
because there are some extremely talented photographers here in
Oregon.
This is NOT your mother's
wedding album!

Our
albums are produced to the highest standards in the industry.
The starting layouts are crafted by professional graphic designers,
and then I work personally with the bride and groom to customize
and fine tune the layout to get it exactly the way you want it.
The book pages are printed and bound on fully color calibrated
systems for the ultimate in quality control. The companies we
use work ONLY with professional photographers so they are unavailable
to the general public. At the risk of sounding like a bragger,
I'll say that these are truly outstanding albums that you will
be happy to keep out to show your guests for the rest of your
life.
Sooooo many options!
Clients often start off by
asking "how much does an album cost?"
The answer is... that depends!
The price depends on the number
of pages, and the size of the pages.
You can get a small 8x8 inch
album with 40 pages, or you can get a gigantic 16x20 inch album
with 100 pages.
As you might imagine, the
prices will be quite different with each of these combinations.
This is a 9.5x13, (40 page
minimum) with the images printed directly on the page.
The 40 page minimum is imposed because the books just look skimpy
and thin if you use fewer pages than this.
Our albums are priced by the
page so you can include as many additional pages as you like.
The price for the first album
is considerably more than the price for other copies. This is
because the majority of the work (and expense) is for the digital
layout that our graphic designers produce before the first book
is printed. After that, the same layout can be used to produce
other copies. This is why the parent albums and the Mini albums
are so much less expensive.
Album
Page Prices...
Page price also includes the layout and design time spent with
myself and the graphic designer, as well as costs for the cover,
printing the images, binding it all into book form, and shipping
it out.
$75 (up to 9.5x13 inch
pages)
($3000 for a 40 page book)
$85 (10x15, 10x10 and 12x12 inch pages) $95 (16x16 and 16x20
inch pages)
Parent
Albums
Each parent album costs 1/2 of the original album price. These
albums have the exact same size and page layout as the original.
If you are ordering an album
with page sizes larger than 9.5x13 inches, you have the option
of producing your parent albums at a smaller size. In this case,
the price would reflect the reduced size instead of being 1/2
the cost of the bridal album.
Mini
Albums -50 copies for $1000 -
or get them FREE!
These small books are 4x6 or 5x5 page size with layout that is
identical to the larger albums. We'll give you 50 for free if you purchase
at least a 40 page bridal album and two identical parent albums.
The mini's only come in a printed paperback cover with none of
the same cover options as the larger albums. Mini's are only available
if you purchase a bigger album.
Buy a 3 Album Package and get 50 Mini
Albums - Free!
This is a $1000 value if purchased
seperately.
If you purchase a bridal album and two parent albums
(all with the same layout) we will include a set of 50
mini albums absolutely free!(4x6, 5x5, or 4x5)
Should you want more than 50 copies, you can get all
you want at our cost.
This makes a great "thank you" gift for those
who attended your wedding, and an even better "sorry
you missed it" present for those that were unable
to attend.
How
to Figure Prices It should be no problem adding up the price for all the
pages of a single bridal album, but what about a more complicated
collection of albums?
For
example: a 40 page (9.5"x13") album
would cost $3000. The 2 parent albums are charged at 1/2 of that
price ($1500 each) and the 50 Mini Albums are free. So the total
package would be as follows.
$3000 for the bridal album
$3000 ($1500 each) for the two parent albums
50 4x6 mini albums for free
$6000 Total cost for all.
There are tons of cover
options also. Most of them would fit in this price range
without any extra expense, some really elaborate cover styles
do cost extra.
Budgeting:
If you might be thinking that an expensive album is out of your
price range, you can spread out the payments
however you like in order to make it work. We will definitely
work with you on any budget concerns so that you get the album
of your dreams without breaking the bank. We require a deposit
of $1000 to get the project started, and then the remainder
will need to be paid before the book is sent off to be printed
and bound. This may take several months so you have plenty of
time to make payments while the design is being completed and
then if you need more time, you can wait up to 3 more months
before completing the final payment.
How
to get started:
Download the Album
Contract to find full details about this process.
1. Send a list with your favorite
200 images. Send more images if you want more than
40 pages in your album.
2. Tell us about any design styles,
color themes or other specific elements you want to have
included in the layout or the style of the whole book.
3. Tell me about your budget.
Do you want to keep costs under a certain amount, or do
you want to go all out? In either case, once I get a budget
amount, I can determine the book size and the number of
pages that will best fit your goals while still telling
the whole story of the day.
4. When the rough draft is done
we'll send you a digital proof that you can see on your
computer. From that, you can request changes unlimited
changes in the first round. You could still change your
mind after the second round but at that point you start
getting charged for the extra graphic design time.
5. Choose your cover materials.
You can get leather, silk with an image printed on it,
hard cloth covers with a custom designed paper dust jacket,
clear acrylic with an image underneath... etc...etc. My
personal favorite - an aluminum metal cover with a laser
etched image on the front.

Contract when you're ready to get started on your
own album.
Two ways to get your album
1. You Design it
- We build it.
Yes, you can have complete control
in the creation of your album.
If you have the time and energy
to do so, you can create the entire layout yourself. You can
write the text, scetch the layout on notepads, determine the
photo size and placement, choose color, sepia, b&w, borders,
and all the other million little details that can go into an
album.
With this method, you are
the designer and I'm just the builder. Talk to me first if you
want to try this and I'll give you some tips.
2. Let us do it
all for you.
Many people simply don't have
the time or the artistic inclination to create their own album.
For these folks we'll take over the project with very minimal
input from you and our professional graphic designers will craft
an album that will knock your socks off. But it won't be completely
out of your control. If you want to, you can make a list of
your favorite photos to be used in the layout.
After the initial layout is
completed, you'll still be required to check it and request
any changes you want until it looks just right.

Creating a wedding album
is a LARGE investment for both of us in time and money.
Because of this, we also have an Album

little detail of what you want
and what we are agreeing to produce. Please take the time to
check it out if you are interested in wedding albums.
The first version has now sold just
